These projects must be specific to complications from blood transfusions, including alloimmunization, iron overload, transfusion-associated infections, and determining the utility of pre-existing datasets for analyzing information about these three areas compared to primarily collected data from study participants. Characterizing the Complications Associated with Therapeutic Blood Transfusions for Hemoglobinopathies: The purpose of this FOA is to fund a coordinating center to develop projects which will result in improved knowledge of transfusion-related complications. ![]()
